Be careful- don't let your treasure lead your life.

Talking Points:

  • Jesus said that wherever your treasure is that’s where your heart will be. Meaning, if you put your focus on money over God, your life will be directed towards your finances rather than God’s purposes. Matthew 6:19-21
  • You can’t have two masters. If you’re so focused on building your 401k, you’ll miss out on God’s plan. Matthew 6:22-25
  • As a follower of Jesus, you shouldn’t be dominated by anxiety over your financial future. Your trust should rest in God who already knows what you need. Matthew 6:31-33
