The gift of tongues is controversial, but is it valid for today?

Talking Points:

  • One gift is where people have actually spoken in a human language that someone from another people group understood. Acts 2:1-6
  • The other seems to be one seen in 1 Corinthians where a person is so moved and filled by the Holy Spirit that he begins to utter words of angels, and not of human understanding.
  • The gift of tongues is not necessarily for everyone. 1 Corinthians 14:19
