Arminianism is a type of theology that emphasizes every person's free will to trust in Jesus for salvation.
Talking Points:
- Partial Depravity. We are depraved in our natural state but a person has just enough grace to respond to the Gospel.
- Conditional Election. God already knows who will respond to him in faith but the person sees it as a choice. 2 Peter 3:9
- Unlimited Atonement. Jesus died for everyone, not just those who receive him. 1 John 2:2
- Prevenient Grace. God empowers our free will to save us. Titus 2:11
- Conditional Perseverance. Some believe that you can lose your salvation and others say you have eternal security.
