So you lead at church. But do you also have to give financially? What does the Bible say?
Talking Points:
- Giving honors God. Christians should honor God, and giving clearly does that.
- Giving should be regular. It shouldn’t just be hit or miss when there’s a special need in the church.
- Giving should be proportionate. If you make a lot of money, you should be a bigger giver than the guy who doesn’t. Use the 10% tithe as a benchmark for your giving – but go beyond it as you grow.
- Giving should be sacrificial. You should be willing to sacrifice in your giving, not just doing it when it’s convenient in your budget.

- Read 2 Corinthians 8:7-9. Why should we be motivated to give? Make a list.
- Giving should be regular, proportionate, and sacrificial. Which is the hardest for you? Which is the easiest? Why?

- Is there a step you need to take based on today’s topic?
