Don't waste your life seeking the approval of man. Live your life for God and run the race he has marked out for you.

Talking Points:

  • We can be gripped with fear when we’re competing trying to win the approval of coaches and our teammates. But freedom comes from seeking only God’s approval and running the race he marks out for us.
  • Hebrews 12 tells us how to run a successful race. Our focus must be on Jesus, we need to rid ourselves of the sins that entangle and weigh us down, and we need to keep our focus out ahead and follow God’s lead.

Quote This:

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
