If you want your money to bring you true happiness then you need to be generous with it. In this lesson, we discuss how to think about generosity.

Talking Points:

  • The most important thing we can do with our money is to be generous with it. God has blessed us with money so that we can help others and build his kingdom.
  • The Bible teaches us that we are managing God’s money. Everything we have belongs to God. As such, we are stewards who are supposed to use money in a way that honors God. 1 Timothy 6:17-19
  • In the Bible, there are two main groups that we are supposed to be generous toward: our local church and those in need. 2 Corinthians 9:7

  3. Who do you think tends to be the most satisfied: the rich, the poor, or the middle-class? Explain.

  5. Give an example of a wealthy person who is generous. How do others view that person? What about a wealthy person who is stingy? Which one do you think you’d be? Explain.
