Your kids shouldn’t be afraid or timid in life. God wants them to be bold and courageous. 2 Timothy 1:7

Talking Points:

  • This verse gives us confidence to stand up for God. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to be brave and powerful.
  • This verse helps us to face fears of failure and rejection instead shrinking back from a challenge because we are scared. The better way to be is to give 100% and be okay with the results no matter what they are.
  • The second part of the verse is important as well as it points to what the Spirit gives us; power, love, and self-discipline. We have the ability to be loving to the jerks in our lives, we have the power to stand up to temptation, and we have the ability to choose self-control over rash behavior.
