God wants us to pray for those we are discipling. In Philippians, Paul prays for the people that he had led to Christ. Here we learn how to pray for the people in our own lives by studying how Paul prayed.
Video Highlights:
- A discipler shares God’s truth in love and helps people live it out. If you are not discipling someone, pray that God would put someone in your life that you can begin a discipling relationship with. If you are a parent or mentor, you should be discipling your children and mentees by helping them live out God’s truth in love.
- Give thanks with a heart full of joy. Remember to joyfully thank God for the people in your life. Sometimes we only think to pray for those who are sick or hurting, but it is good to give thanks for the people who we are helping towards Jesus. (Philippians 1:3-4)
- Pray with confidence. Pray that God would continue the work that he has started in the lives of the people who you are discipling. Pray that your kids and those under your influence would gain knowledge and understanding of God’s truth. (Philippians 1:6-11)
Pray Philippians 1 over the people in your life that you are leading to Christ, with the confidence that they will grow to love each other, know God’s truth, and live it out.
