God has given many amazing promises to us in the Bible. These promises are available to anyone who would put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Here are just a few of the promises that come to every Christian.
God Promises His Constant Presence
As a Christian, God is constantly with you.
John 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.
We can be confident that we are never alone in this world, and that as we seek after God, his Spirit will always lead us into truth.
God Promises to Take Care of All of Our Needs
The Bible makes it clear that God will watch over us, and take care of us in life.
Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Notice that it says God will take care of all of our needs, not all of our desires. We might face all kinds of struggles in this life, but God promises that we will always have what we truly need.
God Promises to Always Provide a Way Out of Temptation
God also promises to be with you in temptation.
1 Corinthians 10:13 God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
Whenever you face temptation, it’s encouraging to know that you’re not ultimately helpless or powerless. If we seek God, he will always provide a way of escape from that sin.
God Promises to Work Everything Out for Our Good
All Christians take comfort in this wonderful promise:
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
God promises that he will be at work in every situation in our lives and that he will work everything out for our ultimate good. We may not always see that good immediately, or even on this side of heaven, but we can trust he will.
God Promises an Eternal Home in the New Earth
No matter what happens in this life, every Christian has the hope of eternal life.
John 14:1-3 Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.
We don’t have to let our hearts become overwhelmed with sadness or fear. We have the new earth to look forward to!
