Sharing faith can be a struggle, but taking a non-believer or even a new believer from A (old life) to X (a life lived for Jesus) isn’t impossible.

Talking Points:

  • People need to discover truth on their own. Cramming the gospel down someone’s throat is about as effective as pouring gas on top of your car and expecting it to run. The best thing you can do is to be kind, patient, and to point them in the right direction.
  • When in conversation, pick good topics that are engaging and interesting. Make sure to ask lots of great questions. Instead of listening for that great spot to jump in with your favorite Jesus fact, hold your tongue long enough to hear their heart.
  • Settle for little wins along the way. The journey from A to X isn’t a grand slam home run smashed out of the park in the first inning. It’s a one-hundred-mile trail run over mountains and through valleys.
