The Bible teaches us the secret to finding financial contentment no matter how much (or how little) we have.

Talking Points:

  • The book of Philippians is a thank you letter written by Paul to a church that had supported him through the highs and lows of his ministry. The poor church had sent him a generous gift to supply his physical needs while he was in prison. Philippians 4:18
  • Paul learned to have a contentment that transcended his circumstances. It didn’t matter if he faced poverty or had plenty of cash, Paul was always able to be happy with his physical circumstances because he learned that his contentment came from the one who gives him strength, Jesus Christ.
  • Our contentment shouldn’t come from what we have, but through our Lord Jesus Christ who sustains us at all time and in all circumstances.
