One of the oldest stories in the Bible is about people wanting to get famous, and what happened to them when they tried.
Talking Points:
- The people wanted to make a name for themselves so they decided to build a big tower so they could brag about it. Genesis 11:1-4
- It’s not bad to be famous. It’s the reason most people want to be famous that’s bad- they care about getting recognition for themselves. Proverbs 21:24
- Don’t want to be famous. But if you are, remember to point to God who gave you your talents, not to yourself. Genesis 11:5-9
