Athletes are used to pushing themselves to the limit physically but what about spiritually?

Talking Points:

  • Athletes test their bodies and push them to their limits and beyond to succeed in sport but many don’t have this same mentality in their pursuit of God.
  • In Romans, Paul talks about this idea of offering our bodies as living sacrifices to God. In everything we do, we can worship God by giving our best toward every task in life.
  • We can also worship God by choosing to live by his standards not the world’s standards. Everyday, we can submit ourselves to God’s word and let his truth direct our paths, our values and our actions.

Quote This:

Romans 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
