How do we pray for Christians when they are sick? Should we look for a miracle or is God done handing out miracles?

Talking Points:

  • Jesus seems to say we can ask for healing and he will answer our prayers. But even in the Bible healing didn’t always happen. Matthew 21:22
  • Later the Bible gives an important qualifier for our prayers. We need more than faith; we also need to ask according to God’s will. 1 John 5:14
  • Illness isn’t always due to a lack of faith, but we are still invited to pray for healing. In the end, we must trust God to make the right choice.
