What does it mean to be qualified to lead a student group? Will any of us ever really be "qualified"? Talk about it here.
Key Points:
- Trusting Jesus is the most important qualifier for living as a Christian and serving in ministry.
- Are you honoring God in your life? If you don’t know what that means or can honestly say you aren’t, you need to prioritize and make this a part of your life before you begin serving. It’s not about being perfect, but about your perspective and taking realistic stock of where you are in your own spiritual journey.
- Helping others. Do you love students and are you willing to invest in them? If the answer is “no,” you should seek another way to serve, because there are ways you can serve (1 Corinthians 12:4-6). Our motivation for loving others comes from our love of God.
