- Greed is an intense selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power or food.
- The 5 problems with greed:
- Jealousy. You’ll always be comparing yourself to others and you won’t be grateful for what you have.
- Dishonesty. If all you focus on is your money and stuff, you’ll do whatever it takes to get more.
- Shallow relationships. You’ll only pursue the people that will help you to get what you want.
- Lack of focus. Greed puts the focus on the wrong things. You can’t worship both God and money. Matthew 6:24
- Dissatisfaction. Money and power will never fulfill you. You’ll need more and more to make you happy. 1 Timothy 6:9-10
